has anyone any experience with cellshock ddr1 modules ive seen some(2x1gb) ddr500 at a good price, but had never heard of them prior to finding some on the internet, also what overclock could i expect from ocz gold ddr 400 5-2-2-2 modules? (2x1gb)

ps dont say upgrade to something with ddr2, i am (core 2), but this rig will replace my old ath xp rig as my second gaming system

Never heard of cellshock.

As for your OCZ it depends what kind of chips they are. are they bh5? There are many kinds of ddr1 modules so you need to be specific.

I know mushkin makes some ddr500 modules that will do those timings (if you raise the voltage enough) and OCZ does if you have a voltage booster from them.

well the ocz are platinums, not golds, but i cant find much info on what chips they use from the site i saw them p.s. i wasnt expecting to keep the latency that low if i did overclock, just wondering how a low latency 400 compares to a ddr 500 module(as these are usually 8-4-4-3 or 8-3-3-3) but main reason for this post was to see if anyone had any experience with cellshock as they looked quite good (samsung chips, 8 layer pcb) and arent as high voltage as some other 500 modules(2.6@500) and my mobo only does 2.7 max
