Maybe not in Commercial aircraft, but in military aircraft it is. It has one advantage over iron and titanium, it is almost as strong and at least half the weight.

Yeah that is correct. My F-16 Fighter jet has carbon fibre all over the place. The little iraqi thinks "Oh isn't that pretty" just before I blow him the fuck out of the sky...
