That's why he gets the criticism, a very deserved one. It's not about the "news" or rumors, but about what you do with them and how. In this case the only news was that Intel used a video on their presentation, period, end of news reporting, since we don't know why they did it. Report the news and leave conclusions and/or conspiracy theories to readers. Sure, IB graphics may indeed suck, it's actually hard for me believing otherwise considering their track record, but maybe they don't suck, and we don't know because we don't really have any proof either way yet. Maybe they tried to deceive people or maybe not, etc.

So they used a video, that's news, the rest was made up by him as per usual, and is most likely false, making the content of the "article" as a whole 95% false*, and hence should not be taken seriously. And since he does that over and over again, Charlie D. has 0 credibility amongst people who like good journalism. IMO calling him "opinionated blogger" is being almost too kind.

* On this story it was easy to tell the truth from the lies/inventions but it's not often so easy, so it's better to simply scrap everything until other sources post about it.

Yeah, exactly, this is why S|A is banned as a news source on TPU. Charlie had me believing him for quite some time, but then there were some things that he said about nvidia that were obvious BS. I think it was about their "unmanufacturable" Fermi GPU in particular. Well, I've got a GTX 580 and I can tell you that it's highly manufactured and works extremely well. Heck, he still claims that this is so...

VLC can stream video, so it could in fact have been played in backstage on an Intel Ivy Bridge.

Anyway regarding the video, it's common bussiness and Intel has already demostrated it works so there's no point arguing about it anymore. Whether its graphics capabilities suck or not, according to our standards, it works, it's not broken. Because that's the point, that's what Charlie implied in the "article" posted by OP and like 99% of times he was wrong.

Yes, Charlie was dead on with outing the deception and the fine details of it, but his tinfoil hat conspiracy theories do let him down. Basically, he's no fool at getting to the bottom of something, but it's what he does with what he's found that's put him on several reporting ban lists. It's a shame, because he'd make a good source of news otherwise.

Sure, and GPU sales mean d**k too, if you have to use the competitions CPU to properly use the GPU. Lets face it, fusion or not, AMD cpus currently suck.

Just more than enough for a good mainstream build, i made it so cheap but still powerful some months back for an office/media PC with sometimes a few games here and there and it's totally fine., however im not having THAT kind of experience with phenom 2 since im not using that pc.

Yea sorry it was aimed at the post you quoted more than anything. I was just saying there's no way it was streamed.

That's the biggest riddle - like most, I never thought he did it because IB was a flop and we all have confidence in Intel's product, so why did Eden do it? As Mailman said, it could be something innocent like they couldn't get it play right with the big screen or whatever; but this is the internet, and there's no forgive and forget here so why on earth would he do something that he should know would get him crucified?

He should know better, much better than to try and fool people into thinking he's playing a game, and then to try and fool people into thinking it's being played backstage. Twice he tried it. Twice! Craziness
