Chaintech/Colorful GTX 1070 comes with "free" motherboard

Although the TPU team has done a great job covering Computex, they missed this gem from Chaintech/Colorful.

Judging by the GPU, it's a GTX 1070 mounted on an Intel B150 motherboard. It looks like something for a weird size all-in-one system, but the connectors don't make a lot of sense in terms of where they're located and there doesn't appear to be any internal display connectors except possibly the one near the two USB 3.0 ports. The position of the 4-pin power connector is also very odd and the buttons don't appear to be workable either in an all-in-one type scenario. At least it's the most "interesting" GTX 1070 at the show...

It is the GTX1070, it has 8Gb of GDDR5 @ 1.5V according to the Samsung spec sheet.

Forgot to mention it has a clock speed of 8,000MHz.

Now there is one interesting device which would make a killer steam box/htpc.

It looks like a normal high-power 4-pin external power connector. It was used on some "gaming" notebooks back in the day and several NAS models from Synology use a similar connector.

Definitely a video out on the left hand side second from bottom. Also has a fan header which is somewhat abnormal for aio's could be a steam box of sorts.

I think that big input on the lower left corner is the plug to connect to an external brick power supply.

I wonder what that gold color connector is at the top. I think that's on the front and that's a lot of pins. Is a Thunderbolt or USB 3.1-C connector? Looks too big for the latter.

I kind of want one but that GTX 1070 is going to make it expensive. I think Steam Machine is right. If I did get one, I'd want to use that SATA port for a BD-DVD drive. I doubt the case it ships with would have a front 5.25" bay though. :cry:

On the front? That's kind of an odd place for it but...that makes sense if it is Thunderbolt 3 capable...

Then again, most Thunderbolt devices you don't unplug frequently so it makes more sense for it to be on the back. The fact the USB3 ports are on the side is also whacky...unless there's some on the front that are also USB3 but we can't see it in the picture. I wish we had a picture of the enclosure this thing is supposed to be in.

The layout is weird, but I guess it'll work perfectly for AIO, or inside a custom mini-PC case...
The bottom-left connector seems to be a regular power jack (like on the laptop), so assuming that, the top side is 2xUSB3.0 + Thunderbolt + 2xUSB3.0 + Audio.
Left side seems to cover two more USB and HDMI.

The only thing that does not make sense is that pair of mini-PCIe slots: one for WiFi, but the other one is for SSD? Wont it be better to put an M.2 SATA in addition to that lonely SATA port?
Also I see the realtek audio controller, but no LAN and no placer for a LAN connector (not even w/ USB)....

Exactly that ^^^^. They've been showing lots of VR stuff on Computex, so a compact Steam Machine seems like the only logical explanation.

That looks similar to USB placement on my old Zotac ZBOX (it had USB on three out of four sides). Front ones for flash drives, back ports for webcam and other permanent devices(which this board does not have), and the side port(s) for KB/Mouse or a wireless dongle.

It's a full-size DP connector. There's also a wonky HDMI port at the top of the board.

It's an HDMI port with some protective tape on it and it's poorly mounted onto the PCB, as it's wonky and doesn't actually make contact with the solder pads on the board.

Just for reference, this is their GTX 980 board.
The LAN port on both boards is in the top left corner, alongside two USB ports.
They also had a version with a GTX 960, but I didn't snap a picture of it.
