Hi it might be a silly question but I am going to ask it anyway, I am switching to a bought windows 10 64bit and I have been playing Fallout 4 will I lose my saved games and have to start from the beginning

Just locate the saved games, which for Steam Bethesda games iirc is normally in My Games, inside My Documents. Save them elsewhere if you wish. Just dump back in there after the fresh install.

If your game is cloud synched with Steam also, then the save should load from there as well.

Enable steam cloud saving. Play Fallout4, exit and it will upload your local save to cloud. I do this all the time when I need to reinstall OS.
