Thinking about picking one up too, but my local store is OOS. I personally don't have a problem with fading keys, since I know the keyboard layout very well. If you are looking for a cheap one you can take a look at the CM Storm series (with missing keys). Other options include Qpad ones (MK50?).

Qpad MK50 only £60 on Amazon, I'll have a look at some reviews but it looks good to me.

I can touch type as well as the next guy, but it makes the keyboard look terrible and I don't want to pay out so much of my money on something that is poorly designed/manufactured. If they can't be bothered to get the keys right god knows what else they were lazy with.

Edit: What about the Ducky Zero with black switches?

I like my black widow. It is big, IMO that is the only real downside (besides the fact Razer software is pretty shitty). It feels good typing, while a bit loud, backlight is nice, and it is spaced well for my big hands.

I've been thinking about it and looking around, I don't like the look of the Razer Black Widow, too green and it seems to be endlessly large, but I do like the CM Storm Quickfire TK w/ Red Switches (Side note: I do with CM would do something more simple with there naming system like Corsair do, in fact, everyone should use Corsairs naming system...), anyway, it's this one. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-011-CM. It's a full 105 but they've cut out the Home, End, Insert area and the arrow keys.

Oh well, thanks anyway. If you don't mind me asking why are you selling it?

No real reason other than I'm picky. Not really into LED lights and I enjoy tenkeyless boards. I have 1x red, 1x blue, and 1x brown. All tenkeyless. They're fun to customize.

I only used the TK for a week lol Overall it's a very solid board. Would recommended it to anyone wants the small form factor of a tenkeyless, but with the number pad.

Ah okay, got me a bit worried there for a second =P, I would go with a tenkeyless but I play Arma II(I) and having extra keys to bind stuff to is so useful.

ThermalTake MEKA G1 user here, very nice board for the $50 it cost...

Not a fan of Corsair boards. Are they still only partly mechanical or have they finally decided to give people what they were paying for?

If you don't mind the missing keys (which i don't) and i assume not many people do. Then CM Storm Quickfire TK is one of the best keyboards around, and for the money you can't go wrong.

I have been using one of these for at least 6 years now. Not a single problem with it after atleast 6 years of FPS gaming, and all the keys are still labeled. Absolutely love it. I replaced it once with a Razor Lycosa. That lasted just short of two weeks before I returned the Lycosa and went back to the old Logitech. Here's what it looks like after going though at least 6 years of gaming, 4 full system rebuilds, and 5 residency changes.

As you can see, it's dirty as hell and needs to be cleaned. But it still works flawlessly.

My g11 still works "flawlessly" too. I would NEVER go back to it after getting back on mech boards. The difference is night/day.

NEVER! :p

You need to play more RTS games :toast:

I like it but t's got a strange half back light thing going on.

I would rather like the CMstorm XT Stealth but I can't find any for sale with a UK layout.

I would like to say thank you to all the people who have posted in this thread, once again making me question my self for even posting on TomsHardWare's Forums.

At least the keys will not fade. Also, turn the lights off :)

TPU moves much faster than a lot of tech forums out there because we cannot stand not giving our opinions whether its welcome or not

That's the one I have and I also hate half assed backlight ... full lit variant came out a month ago  other than that it's a hell of a keyboard, keys don't fade and it's heavy
