Hey guys, I am looking for a cheap router with USB ports on it (for both a printer and hard drive (print server and NAS)). It doesnt have to be wireless at all and 10/100 is fine. I plan on plugging it into my current router to get the extra switch and USB's for printer and hdd.

It doesnt actually have to be a router, it can be any device but from what I have seen the routers are cheaper/have better performance. I was going towards a DLink DNS-300 (which is an enclosure with 2 USB's on the back for additional HDD's/printers, but I wasnt going to waste $100-$150 after I read the crappy reviews on it. (I think a router would be far better, but if not, give me direction to a different device :D).

    Thanks in adv :)

I have been doing some looking around and such, and I am just going to get a server :p.

It will be pretty slow (like a 1Ghz CPU, 512mb RAM, etc) but I will use a mini-ITX motherboard, so it can be really small and cheap :D.

I might build the case myself (lol not spending $150)...but the thing I cant find for cheap is the PSU (want it like 60W, as its always going to be on)

At least with a server, I can get it to act as my NAS, print server, VoIP server, scanner server, and plug an external card reader in so I dont need a card reader per comp :)....and it will have a gigabit PCI card, so it will be soooo much faster than all current NAS's and routers w/ USB's on them.

its not the best idea to be maxing out the PSU to run your components

I was thinking 60W was plenty. Its only a 1Ghz CPU with a 512mb RAM stick, a hard drive and one gigabit PCI card :p
