[WTB] Cheap working Socket A (462) motherboard

Hello~
A non tech inclined friend asked me to fix his computer and I have concluded his motherboard shorted. So, I tested the remainder of his hardware and it is all fine.
I am in need of a cheap working socket A board that can handle a sempron 2800+ and 512mb pc2100. If you have anything sitting around I would appreciate offers :toast:

Did you test with the board outside the case?
Tried another PSU?

As for socketA mobo i am not sure but i may have two of them?
I'll have to recheck all my old PC parts in my basement...

Well i checked & iv'e got only one with NForce2 chipset but i am keeping this one.
I may built another retro gaming PC for old games with Win98se & Voodoo 2 in SLI or my Voodoo 3 or 4...?

Anyhow i which you to find a good socketA mobo , maybe Melvis can still ship oversea to you?

You just make me think of something that nobody mention does he need a board with AGP slot or not?

Because if he does need AGP slot your board doesn't have one it's only PCI

His old board did not have agp, but im sure the upgrade would be appreciated. I could throw a 2600pro in there or something. I did check the psu and it is fine. Anyone close to Chicago have one sitting in their basement?
