cheapest place to get cables?

obviously i checked out newegg first. it seems ridiculous to pick up something like an esata cable for 4.99 and pay 2 bucks for shipping. any suggestions?

compared to our local shops that looks like an excellent deal. (lol, like $29 just for a cable)

The only bad thing about Newegg now is their really cheap shipping says 4-7 days and they mean it (beware the EggSaver shipping if ur in a hurry). I got a bluetooth with free shipping and it took over 7 days to get it, a DVD with the same shipping (4-7days)showed up in 4 days

we do have a small hole in the wall cable store where the guy makes each cable (no esata yet) and he is an excellent deal for really long/custom stuff.

I found him by accident in the phone book(take a look just in case you have one like him as well)

EDIT: ok I figured I may as make an actual useful post, here is an excellent place for oddball/short/left Hdd sata cables, custom length IDE cables and other stuff...

They don't always have the cheapest prices but they quite frequently run absurd deals with free shipping.

I'd say Deal Extreme in Hong Kong (if you don't mind waiting 3 weeks for air mail delivery). Mussels I think it was turned me on to this place for a HDMI convertor box allowing me to get sound from Blue Ray thru to my Z-5500's without having an HDMI-equipped stereo receiver. It's got, like, everything gadget-wise (and some things like what I bought that you can't seem to find in this part of the world.).

I don't think I have ever had to sign for anything from ebay (except for my TV), there are people who whole sale cables. I see a bunch of esata cables for $0.99 + $0.50 shipping, from larger resalers, with that small of a mailing package most likely will go right in your box with no signature. Thats what happend when I got my HDMI cable of ebay for $1.50.

eBay has nothing to do with what shipping method the seller used. For a measly cable that fits into an envelope, most postmen leave them in the mailbox.

I get my cables from OutletPC.com and have for years. They are based out of Las Vegas. Shipping speed is decent and their prices are usually supremely low comparatively speaking. I got 1000 ft of Cat5e cable few years back for like $25 shipped, while they were having one of their usual sales. Crazy!

It sounds hoaky, but I love mycablemart.com. Stuff is super quality, and dirt cheap. An 18" black SATA shipped to Montana USPS First class would be $5.49. Or you could get a round 6' cable for $8.61 :laugh:
