Checking Firmware?

I just found out that you can update the firmware for GPUs too, but I have no idea which field in GPU-Z is the current firmware.

The value for the 'Revision' field looks the closest to my manufacturers firmware names. Is this the correct field?

You generally don't update vbios like a mobo bios mind, you should only do it if specifically told to do so by the manufacturer.

No improvements to be had by updating the firmware if not explicitly instructed to do so?

If you want to play in the land of bios you are going to have to learn to trust and love build numbers before revisions. Its nice that who gigabyte does this? but not alot do. Not to mention.

Per the pop up its the "card" revision not the bios.

Generally, no, certainly not anything big. But if you are seeing manufacturer releases like that (from the real manufacturer) it is fine to use them.

well, the firmware updates must be fixing/correcting/enhancing something, right?

Usually the updates don't do much you'll notice as an end user, but technically, yes, I am sure they fix something.
