Do not get that Power supply.
APEVIA makes crap PSUS.
Get an OCZ 600W Gamexstream (they arent as expensive as other good brands)

thanks a ton for the feedback guys.

Nither, i have the E6400 and am lovin it!

But if you have a little more to spare, then get the e6600, it will be much more suited to that motherboard due to the higher (9x) multiplier.

The 600W one wont be enough for SLI of 2 8800GTS.
You need the OCZ 700W one if you want that.
Just take a look here and it shows you all of Nvidia's approved PSUs for SLI with certain cards ( http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html ) .
It is quite helpful

Yea I am going to pick up an OCZ 700W myself....might wait a bit though since they may drop in price with bigger PSUs coming out.

Also, if you wait a month, Intel has huge price drops coming :) on all C2D procs

Nah the prices are mostly being dropped big for the E4300, E6300, E6400, E6600 and the E6700.
Pretty much the E6600 will be the price that the E6400 is now and the E6700 will be the price fo the E6600 now.

After April, price drops will not happen until the end of Q2/Q3 by Intel.
I would wait a month and get the E6600 instead of the E6400.

Ok, so here it is, my most recent updated list. I'm holding onto the 6400 for a month or 2 or til the quads drop I guess. the 6600 brought me into the 1500.00 range and thats just to much caviar for my fishies. :p I did however go to the 700 w ocz PS thank you for the tip.. Man lol wanna know what my system is right now? lmfao.. dimension 8100 geforce mx2 , pentium 4 with 256 mb ram.. lol.. so pathetic huh..I am like the lag king right now. I'm so looking forward to this. tytyty..

Be sure that the product is functional and that you intend to keep the product before sending in for your rebate. Products missing UPC codes or serial numbers from the box are NOT returnable. Only the product manufacturer can replace any defective item missing the UPC code.

3. Limited 30-Day Return Policy
1. Summary
1.
* Return for refund within: 30 days
* Return for replacement within: 30 days
2. Detail
1. This is our Detailed Limited 30-Day Return Policy. Items covered by this policy (products for which Newegg.com states "This item may be returned for a replacement or refund within 30 days only") must be returned to Newegg.com within 30 days of the invoice date for this policy to apply. Additional coverage, if any, is provided solely by the product's manufacturer (as indicated by such manufacturer).

4. Processors (CPUs) Return Policy
1. Summary
1.
* Return for refund within: 7 days
* Return for replacement within: 30 days
2. Detail
1. This is our Detailed Processor (CPU) Return Policy. Physically damaged CPUs cannot be returned to Newegg.com.

Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) improper handling and any other type of damage sustained by irregular use.

Newegg.com encounters bent pins regularly when inspecting physically damaged CPUs. Forcing a processor into position will not solve an installation problem and may void your Newegg.com return policy. Buyers requesting a refund may have to pay a 15% restocking fee. Newegg.com will not cross-ship replacement CPUs.

5. Standard Return Policy
1. Summary
1.
* Return for refund within: 30 days
* Return for replacement within: 1 year
2. Detail
1. This is our Detailed Standard Return Policy. Unless another return policy is indicated, products sold by Newegg.com are covered by this Standard Return Policy. Merchandise under this Standard Return Policy may be returned a) within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund, or b) within one year of the original invoice date for a replacement of the same item. All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All items returned for a refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Many manufacturers offer additional factory coverage. With regard to such, you should contact the manufacturer of your item directly for information regarding eligibility and specific Terms and Conditions.

Before someone yells at me for double standards....tell me a more meaningful thread title and I'll change this thread to it. "A little help please" is not a very good thread title :p. How about something like "Building a new rig, when should I do it?"

I have a blue orb - the only issue with them is the wide area they occupy.
On my board, I had to add a few spacers to the mounting screws so it wouldn't contact my P5W DH Deluxe's funky heatpipe setup.

Personally, I think the 6400 is the better cpu option. You'll hardly need the extra cache of the 6600, and they OC better than the 6300s. More bang for the buck IMHO. I've got mine @ 3.2g with only a slight vCore increase 24/7 and I have no doubt it would run much higher if I tried pushing the envelope, better cooling etc.

Look at infrared's specs above.

Ahh thank you, thats very reassuring to know I didn't just blow 230 bucks on a hard piece of toilet paper lol.. awsome, 3.2 ghz, thats what I'm talkin about.. I still need some time learning overclocking the cpu though. I got overclocking the video card down no problem, but the bios I have on this piece of crap wont let me edit any settings and no overclock software works on it either..lol trust me I tried , unless u know something I don't, which is highly likely.. but I wander...

I have 2 120mm fans and 2 80mm fans as is.. i put the blue orb back I think at last minute or is it still on there? lol.. woops if so.. i hope 2 120's and 2 80's will be enough.. I'll keep my eues open with the mounting brackets as well, thanks for the info there, believe me it's all very very helpful lol.. ur all gonna hate me once i get my parts and ask who will help me put it together lol.. I have to learn someday, I like doing this stuff, it's a very mentally stimulating hobby..

I dont know what u mean with the v core ratio 24/7.. wait.. lol like 24/7 24 hours 7 days a week? oh so your telling me it runs stable even when it's always on.. cool, very good to know.. u think I'll have cooling issues or anything though? I hope not..

If I took the blue orb off my list and it's not on the way, I think I'm gonna order it anyway just because it has good reviews and I want to be safe.. If I need to, I'll go to water cooling or whatever but that stuff worries me even if they call it non conductive lol..

thanks again for the info.. sorry it took me abit to respond..

If the blue orb wasn't a pain to install/uninstall I'd probably go for something different. I'm just too lazy to take the works apart just to change it right now.

I found the AC Freezer Pro to be a good cooler also, but one of the cheapass plastic mounting clips broke when I was reseating it. I had to go local (Radio Shack) to get the Tt blue orb fast. It's OK but I'd go for something that helps push the air out the back of the case.

Yeah, I meant 24 hrs/day....:p
