It's been a while since I asked for assistance, but I require various opinions on coolers, not necesarily looking for factual information, because this cooler is more for form over function.
Currently my 4670 is running an NT06, pretty decent cooler, but it's top down and designed for ITX primarily.
I'm looking for a reasonably great cooler, not too expensive, I'm thinking close to the £40 mark.
My requirements are somewhat odd. The cooler has to be red. It also has to have a relatively thin mounting backplate for the motherboard. The concave area of the motherboard tray is not particularly deep on my case, and my NT06 backplate literally touches the metal, which is fine as it stands, but anything thicker and the motherboard would feel pressure around the area.
So far I've looked at the Ereboss and the Phanteks PH-TC14CS, the Ereboss seem's OK, but the Phanteks is in excess of £60, which is a bit too much. I could quite happily afford a custom watercooling kit, but with a non K processor I don't feel the need to spend the money. The NT06 cools OK, but I'm looking for a little more cooling potential, but mainly for a far better look inside my system.
