Sorry for the late reply. Well, living in India, although my family did celebrate Christmas (usually put some fancy lights in our house balcony), I never got Christmas gifts as such. Anyways, now that I'm earning my own, I bought them Christmas presents :D

The USA is heading to the same state of affairs with not being able to afford gifts. I have watched the middle class here in the states dwindle and degrade itself to the point that middle class is now upper POOR. I guess what comes around goes around.
