Greetings.
I sold my old 7970m, which i tested, to a guy wanting do repair a p370. He said the card was not working so i told him that he needed a vbios to make it work on a non-enduro system (the p370 is a dual card). A week latter he ships the card back and says it gets BSOD and freezes. I swap my 8970m and yeah it did not work. I though that maybe he did not flashed my old bios back so i tried looking for another one and then i'm met with these results on atiflash.

Is the card dead? if so how he killed the card? A bad flash? Is there a way to recover it or to the trash it goes ?

SPI looks wrecked or locked. You can try to unlock it, or remove the ground pin. On those however I think the chip is much smaller. For something like this its impossible to say it was his fault, especially if you sold him a card he had to flash to get working.

He was sopposed to be a technician. But I found out that an enduro/Optimus card won't work on a non-enduro crossfire/sli setup. At least for notebooks this was the case. He said he flashed the vbios, i sent him a message asking how. In the meantime I'm gonna reinstall Windows and all drivers from 0.

The thing is, the card worked, just not in his laptop as its a non-enduro (iGPU enabled) system and he needed a specific GPU VBIOS for it

TBH the card itself is probably dead, 7970M's had a really high failure rate and it likely kicked the bucket
