I have no doubt that it is a good board it's an Asus board after all but Asus should have done something to make this board better looking , but i guess it would cost more money just for the "looks" but still...

I never said that his choice or the board it self was no good i was just telling how this board looks so nude compare to today board standard , that is all , understand now?

Doesn't feel good time finally finish your build. Like you said, after some cable management this rig will look nice! Since you will be OC'ing soon have thought about getting am after market cpu cooler?

You're the one who should take it easy , if you reread my other post you'll see that i was talking about the looks of board only & nothing else... & i did said that i understand having a tight budget i also am in the same situation..

it's all good guys.... sheesh.

I have it OC'd to 2.8GHz now and she's running smooth. I do need to get an aftermarket cooler but the dang things these days are huge and I would have to pull the MB out with 99% of them to install the back plate. At 2.8GHz and at idle I'm getting 35c with the stock HSF. Not to shabby.

C'mon man! push it.... :laugh:

You should be fine with about ~400 mhz of overclock with the original HSF
For an aftermarket HSF... wich ever you choose get one with heat pipes they work great at full

Great! make that chip fly, it can go further. But you'll need better cooling if you want to touch the skies. The coolermaster hyper 212+ is a cheap but real efficient one. ~$30 dollars, there aren't many coolers that can give you such performance. :toast:

Isn't there a good HSF that works without pulling out the MB?

Not all of them needs you to take out the mobo...

Some like mine only need a clip to hold it , it fits in like the stock cooling
