    Short Version

It seems Black Ops is getting dedicated servers but only if it is through GameServers.com to prevent cheating and hacks.

    Really Long Version

The only good anti-cheat is spectating, demo recording and good admins. Thankfully, unlike MW2 and BC2, BO is going to have spectator slots and a demo recorder.

As for gameservers.com they are a low budget host and the CPU allocation and bandwidth reflects their pricing.

Nice idea but nobody wants to waste the time in haunting cheaters, clan admins too !

Well, its something that we did with COD4, and WILL do with BO. Its the best way atm. Having responsible server admins spectating player, setting bait, and watchign cheaters / hackers fall prey, then reporting them to Treyarch and getting them banned.

So, yes, even thought i would love to play the game constantly, i am expecting to have to stop playing a lot...

There are players willing to spend a little of their time investigating possible cheats. Unfortunately most players will make baseless accusations and many server admins will do the same, but there are a few players who have had proper anti-cheat training from working as gaming league admins or simply many years of experience.

At any rate spectate and demo record are essential components for anti-cheat and competitive gaming. MW2 and BC2 didn't have those features because of how consolized they are, BO will have them. That's a good thing for everyone and a step back from the downward trend FPS's on PC have been in.
