What happens after you scan and repair within the blizzard launcher?

I used to get these a lot but it's been a while now. My game would always complete the scan and repair and the update option would show but it would just say something went wrong and attempt to scan again, I would have to reinstall it because it wouldn't launch, it would only want to scan and repair.

at least you dont have the dev code bug. I had that crap on Warzone. Had to wipe my whole hard drive to fix it. Theres a scan and repair option in the options tab within the blizzard ap. use that to scan and fix the games files. if it doesnt work, then do a full wipe and reinstall of the game. and last resort if that doesnt work then youll have to wipe your hard drive and reinstall everything.

This happened a lot when the game first came out and after a few updates its calmed quite a bit. Are you still on the original install with a bunch of applied patches?

After scan and repair i was able to play 1 hour without error but then it happened again.

That was the first thing i did but it didn't help much.

In Multiplayer it works great just in Campaign the Game crash.

That is exactly what it is happening to me

We noticed this heavily in the mission “End of the Line,” where the game crashed over ten times at the same spot at the beginning of the mission. Shortly after this shadow fell on the world, it always seemed to crash on us, always during the gunfight in front of the mansion.

Yesterday i disabled Ray Tracing the game stopped crashing at the same spot but then crashed in another spot

thats rough man. idk what they ultimately did to fix it. I dont have it. I just have Warzone. And the friends i have that play it, only have it on consoles so theyre no help.

I don't think that uninstalling and reinstalling the game will solve the issue?

Have you tried utilizing DDU to uninstall your graphics driver? It's worked for me in the past. You'll need to run it in safe mode.

Maybe this is a feature, after all the Cold War didn't have much shooting either.

Activision is doing this on purpose to stop people from realizing the SP campaign turns into amatour hour for the last levels. That stuff looks like placeholders from C team.

I haven't played the Campaign yet. Just mostly zombies and I would crash a lot. My only resort was to reinstall because I couldn't even launch it. It just kept trying to Update>Scan n Repair>Update>Scan n Repair> over and over. I didn't plan on having to uninstall but it's just what I particularly was forced to do. I reinstalled it and I haven't crashed in a while now. You won't lose any save files and it should ask you about that if you uninstall I believe.

Have you tried the newest drivers 461.09? You might also try a small GPU downclock since the article seems to talk about it being related to visuals, not saying it'll fix it but it's something to try.

Yes, same day it was available

At the begging i thought it was the GPU because it is overclocked and undervolted so i ran it at stock but nothing, then i swapped the 3080 with a 1080 and the same issue

That does makes it seem like its not the GPU. Have you updated the firmware on the card through Precision X?

Do you have any apps open in the background when playing? Discord was giving me terrible trouble in CW and WZ.

I am sure it is not the card otherwise it would crash also when playing Zombies but it doesn't, Firmware was updated 3 weeks ago, i never leave apps opened, always close them before i start playing.

Anyway, after many crashes i managed to finish the Campaign

Nope, as long you don't wipe the drive. I think the launcher even asks if you want to keep your saves, I can't quite recall though. You could always make backups of them if you're worried.

Nice. I seen someone else was having different issues but still CoD and they rolled back to the GameReady drivers recommended by Activision and it fixed their issues.

Unfortunately the game has a lot of issues, everyday when i launch the game it is always updating something new
