i wouldnt be surprised if its isopryl but 10 times the cost for that quantity. isopryl is pennies in comparison.

200ml £ 2.15 for isopryl

Not only in UK, there is so much people around the globe that will try to make drugs from Rice and Beans if they could, here in Costa Rica its not so hard to find but a little expensive, also in drugstores you will be asked for the purchase reason… in San Diego CA I do remember that it was easy to find, no explanation needed…

I used to use it years ago for cleaning the heads on cassette players.

But otherwise... this thing is not conductive... any spirit or other might be, as it may be held in aluminum containers thus they have metal ions, and can cause havoc for electronic PCB due to reaction with other salts.

IMO there is no such thing as "ideal" isopropyl alcohol when literally ALL of it leaves a film.

Just spend a bit more and get high quality denatured alcohol.

Home Depot has Klean Strip Green for $8 a quart. When you break it down to cost per pint, it's about the same or even cheaper than a pint of 90% isopropyl alcohol.
