Hello,

I am new member. Please help my issue?

It just happened 3days ago. My computer is normal if I continue working on it, but if I don't touch it for about 5 minutes, my computer goes black screen with some info on the screen like: "A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to PC......beginning dump of physical memory....hit F1 to continue and hit F2 to set up". I tried to hit F1 and it brought me to another teh black screen with info like: " Mediashield IDE ROM BIOS 6.21 ..... Detecting Array" my computer hangs this time and noway to make it runs again.

I haven't installed any hardwares and sofware for 3 months

Thanks
Ken

sounds like its having issues coming out of standby or something like that. turn off any hibernation settings and power saving settings and see if that helps. I'm guessing the hit F1 to continue and Hit F2 is after the system reboots after the memory dump. I'm thinking its powering down the hdd after inactivity but is running into a problem and bluescreens... then when the system reboots its having trouble reading from the hard drive. could be a power save thing messing up, or the hard drive is starting to die.

could you please fill out your user profile and system specs, thanks.

Agree alot of people have this problem with the OCZ revodrive since it turns off as well under those windows settings. Try what Bruce said and see if the HD going to standby is causing it.

Hi,

It is still has problem. During window XP loading and it sometimes automatically reset the computer and turns into black screen with message "detecting Array..." Then I tried to reset the power button 2 or 3 times then the window XP loading is fine.
I enclosed a picture for setting up the power options.

Thanks

ken

Hi Again,

My computer seems working for a while, suddently my coursor was hung and my computer automatically reset by itself. My screen turns blue color and displays a page of mesage. it is too long to write for you, but I coppied a technical information, such as:
"STOP: 0x000000F4(0x00000003, 0x8A205660, 0x8A2057D4, 0x805c77D0)
Beginning dump of Physical memory"

Can anyone help me this issue? Do I need to restore the whole thing of my window XP back to original date?

thanks

ken

your memory or you harddrive is playing with you, try removing and plugging them back, works out sometimes but might be an issue in the bios as your SATA is considered RAID or AHCI...reconfigure it as SATA to be treated as IDE, look for the settings in the bios! if its RAID which i dont think so you might be dealing with but if its AHCI this error is promising with a regular driver of yours!

you memory and and memory slots need a blowjob lol mean just clean them up and see, also swaping memory slots is good if you have 2 modules please use one at a time and boot up to make sure, may be one is out of order! i had an OCZ memory module with played the same with me! i know you can find luck in these try it ;)

edit: does your computer have a RAID configuration?

I have the same "hang" issues with a Dell XPS 720, Windows XP, with MediaShield 9.82 when I start the PC or reboot the PC. Sometimes I can go many reboots and cold starts before it starts to hand up right after if checks the RAID 0-1 and tells me all drive are healthy. I then have to hold the power button in and start the reboot over and over again before I can get past that point. I never get a blue screen. My OC just gets stuck at that point during the reboot or start up.

And I do not know if this issues is also tied into it. But over the last year of so when I go to either shutdown or restart the PC, I have to hit the Shutdown or Restart 2-3 times before it goes completely through the shutdown or restart process. But sometimes the PC works as it should and shutdown or restart with just one push of the button.
