Computer not posting with GPU installed... will without

So... I just rebuilt my PC with new components except for my GPU

CPU: Intel 10600k (with integrated
RAM: T-force Dark Z 16gb ddr4 3600
SSD: Addlink 2.0 tb nvme m.2
MB: MSI Z490 A-pro
GPU (Current but not new): msi 1060 6gb

I can post and am currently using my tower, but only with the GPU not installed. I have tried everything I can think of and believe at this point my GPU is dead or at least shorted. If I have the GPU installed, it won't post no matter what I do. It just shows a black screen and nothing else. The GPU has power, lights, and fans still spin, but there is nothing on the monitor whether cables are plugged into MB or GPU. I've rebooted and tried removing the battery from the MB and reinstalling everything, but at this point I feel like it somehow shorted or died in the transfer. I sadly do not have another system to try my GPU on, but that is obviously my last step before it is relatively conclusive that it's the GPU.

Any advice or help is welcomed! Thanks!

did you plug the monitor into the GPU after it was installed and not left it plugged into the motherboard port?

Use the second PCI-E 3.0 slot ?
Tried it, didn't work

Display plugged into the GPU?
6-pin (or 8-pin) connected to the GPU?
PSU Wattage sufficient for the dGPU?
I tried both the MB and GPU display,
8 Pin was connected
PSU is a Corsair TX850M.. That better be sufficient haha

did you plug the monitor into the GPU after it was installed and not left it plugged into the motherboard port?
Tried that :/

Tried another cable?
HDMI, DVI-d etc
Tried all the different cables except DVI :/ but yes multiple other cables. And they all worked without the GPU installed

The graphics card is dead. I've had this same issue twice.
Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at.

Any ideas as to what would've caused it to die? I'm thinking a short... It still powers on and fans move, but is the ONLY thing causing the black screen with no post

Since its practically dead. Have you considered cleaning it? Check the paste, check the board itself for burnt marks and also check if the pcie pins are all still there.

I checked the pcie pins, but I haven't taken it apart. I guess I could try that as a last resort \O.O/

Looks like dead then.
You could try repasting and/or baking, but that's probably about it.
