I think you did the right thing, obviously. but how during regular technical repair did you come to find they had that?
He reported he was getting blue screens, I looked up the BSOD number and it pointed to a registery error, I looked at the event viewer and it pointed to a folder in the registery, I then found said folder named CP which doesn't belong and opened it thinking it was malware or something, not so much. Long story short I was attempting to fix an issue at his request, and found it, he did not know I found it, I performed the repair like nothing had happened. Then called the cops before leaving.
