With the release of Windows Vista to manufacturers, some retailers and OEMs have been taking advantage of consumers. Said retailers are claiming that the new PCs they are shipping out come with Vista. Robert Epstein, head of Microsoft Windows Vista marketing in the UK, wants to clarify this. Consumers "won't get it" until January 30. What the retailers are really offering is a free upgrade disk for whichever copy of Windows Vista the customer ordered. It will ship out when Vista is released. Epstein also wants anyone who sees retailers not making this clear reported to him. You can report unclear advertisements to newswireless, and they will report directly to Microsoft.
