Confused about Rating and temp

Hey guys really confused at my score it was 2800ish what should i be doing to increase this? and is this a decent score for out of the box performance (alot to learn i know) any help would be awesome!!!

Nothing wrong with the Score; most likely losing a little due to thermal constraints should loop several time's and take an average rather than looking for top score.

I would limit the fps using afterburner and or other software's to 60fps this will reduce power consumption; thus keeping thermal limits in check while using synthetic benchmarks

That is a good score for the equipment and resolution you're running. You could OC your CPU somewhat and set your GPU boost-clocks higher with a GPU OC utility. But really, you're good to go with games. Have fun!

well you should not worry about temps .... heaven is GPU heavy, for example my 1070 does not reach above 65°C during typical gaming but in heaven i see 71°C



oh... my 1070 is just 280pts under a 1080Ti i thought it would be way weaker in 1440p (tesselation off does the trick )

You should take a look at the Heaven benchmark topic for comparison scores.

Note that score gaps do not translate to relative performance ie 10% lower score does not mean 10% slower.

i would actually recommend that if Tesselation was checked active ... for now it's a little irrelevant (hence why i did a Tess off run to give a fair comparison, also no AA )

i also have that one for comparison (from https://www.kitguru.net/components/...a-gtx-1080-ti-founders-edition-11gb-review/6/) :

well that one has no tess too, but 2xAA same res and a quite higher score (although a 6700K instead of a 8700K but it doesn't matter in Heaven nor does 6 real core for the 8700K or HT )
and 3500ish score is a score from a 1080 SLI usually (tess set on extreme in that case )


soooo basically his 1080Ti is at my 1070 level rather than a normal 1080Ti expected level (or rather my 1070 is at 1080 level judging by standard results across the board )

let's hope the OP don't have a FE 1080Ti instead of one with a more advanced cooler (unless he want to water cool it, tho even there, it would be a bit sad to have a lessened PCB just for that purpose )

@Blinky You are missing about 1k points, i would worry ((Using a EVGA FE 1080Ti))

P.s Without Tessellation i get around 4-4,1k Points.
