hah Well just ordered them off buy.com for 33$ I'm sure i can manage, I don't have a huge head but its not tiny either. I got my sister to pay for them for my birthday present

Nice, well for $33 bucks they blow away gaming sets I paid over $50 for, and they blow away my dad's $70 skull candy dj "like" headphones...no contest. The cans are large...I'll find a camera and take a pic comparing my HPA2's, Plantronics .Audio's and these JVC's. But it's well worth it, they're pretty damn comfy, and the sound...(I needed EQ and some bass boost), the sound just rocks...I've been listening to my entire collection of rock, from old Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Megadeth, etc to some modern stuff, even some old Dr.Dre The Chronic...and I'm no rap fan, but it sounds so good in these...not just the bass either, the vocals, instruments, treble, it's all pretty good. Though I do recommend removing the felt ring beneath the earpads, takes 2 minutes, and helps clear up the mids-hi's, I didn't lose any bass, but it seemed to be a little more well rounded. They'll go pretty deep on bass extension compared to what I'm used to.

Yep, I get that way when I want to upgrade, that's just how I've always done it, ask some questions, get on google, talk to some friends, try some stuff out, and read a loooot. I figure, stuff like this and my research is worth posting in order to help others that might be in the same boat as I am. I gain knowlege, and others can take advantage of it. Plus if TPU ever get's a Computer Audio section like [H] and Head-Fi have, that'll definately be a plus for stuff like the content in this thread.

Alright folks, almost a week and these JVC's are just amazing, my game has improved in CoD4 using 5.1 in windows sound config, then Game mode + headphone mode in X-Fi + CMMS-3d...it has much better distance and spacing with similar accuracy to my HPA2 5.1 gaming headset...something I wouldn't have believed till I heard it with my own ears. But wow....amazing. Music, getting better, there's more bass, mids and hi's as these break in.

I've decided I'm gonna go with the Auzen Forte for updated X-Fi goodies, better support and dedicated headphone amp output for front and rear outputs...I'm also considering snagging the X-Fi Titanium I/O Drive for the ability to switch to game mode and cmms-3d with the push of a button plus volume/level control for both the headphone and mic ports. The I/O panel DOES NOT amplify sound as Auzen told me, but with the Auzen amplifying FP outputs too, while not as good as directly from the rear output, still better than what I'm using and more useful as a gamer I might just go this route. I've considered many options, and unless I wanna spend 300-400+, there's no real reason to look at headphone amps from what I've been told by many, and I don't really want a reciever on my desk either.

But if you like this thread and others like it, go to this thread and post your support to open up a Computer Audio section here on TPU!, I feel it'd be a valued section that could be very helpful for many here where general hardware takes the brunt of it. I feel Computer Audio can be as important as video for gaming or even music, and being able to have an area dedicated to that would be a big plus for TPU in my book...(though so did GPU! and that failed horribly, so my suggestions aren't the best!)
