I assume you are on about the adapter?

No offense meant, but big deal, you could have gone to any e-tailer and done exactly this for years already.

Which is a very welcome change to me. HAF's are as ugly as sin.

+1. Somehow we seem to be in the extreme minority.

Oh I agree that the HAFs are nasty. Not everyone likes the military style of it. I don't like the red colors.

I myself plan to go with a Lancool DragonLord K62 :rockout:

Uhm, dude it looks nothing like a corsair 800D the airflow is totally different and a mid tower.

IMHO If you subtract duties, fees and tariffs from the french website's number the USA price should be around $99 since everything in EU is more taxed. That's pretty fair, I wonder how much less the CM 690 II non advanced version will cost.

Lancool K62 is still the nicest Mid tower case that is complete. ie has window, all fan holes with fans in them, painted black inside and out.

I can't work out why Cooler Master bothered to paint the inside black and then sell the case with no window at first. They are obviously intended to sell the window separate for more revenue.

Judging by the photos around on the new CM690 2, the bottom dual fan is not ideal for a dual radiator if you have anything slightly larger than a standard ATX power supply.

Comparing to the Lancool K62, the Cooler master looks sturdier and offers bottom fans, and that about it and will cost roughly £20 more than the Lancool. Where the Lancool is £80 and includes the windowed side panel...

from the looks of it fits your right, hdd cage? would you all it? looks nice and the extra fan mount in base does too but i cant see many people running a dula rad loop with to 240/280 rads, maybe one in roof and a 120/140 in base but i guess the option is always nice.

half an hour or so with a dremall and you can make the 690 chassis almost the same as this so...not my next case :(

but come on the haf is dam fugly, great chassis but you dont keep your head inside it do you?

How many people do you think would make use of this feature? At a guess I would say there were very few people who would care or make use of this feature.

I would. For my backup hard disk. Saves me the expense and hassle of putting in an external case.

plus that means less clutter (don't need to have a separate HDD dock).
So next time, speak for yourself.

I would. I have no less than 4 sata drive of various sizes that are perfectly usable, but I can't really justify the added expense of a enclosures or a dock for them, so they collect dust until I have a use for them.

So if you had a case with an external Sata port and power port in a convenient place, then you would suddenly have a use for them. You can buy back or front kits for your existing case that will do the same thing if your looking for a means of using them.

I think external SATA ports are a lovely idea, but the vast majority of people ( not all - before the odd or two here jumps down my throat ) use external USB drives and that Network storage is the next big thing.

Those kits also don't provide a cradle for the drive. And I tend to use those drives less for storage, but more as a bootable drive.

And these cases aren't targeted at the masses anyway (whom rarely build their own pc), so your point about it not being needed is moot. It's targeted at enthusiasts, and enthusiast are exactly the type of people that can find a use for it.
