it would be nice if they included at lease one cpu for that board.
which is the first prize?
Can I use colour sticker instead of painting?
The term soccer may be recognised a a word for the game sure, that doesn't mean that we call it that.
Most sports in america are just an angle on other sports.
Ie - American football is just rugby for camp men, maybe a bit of Gallic football in there also.
baseball - is just a twist on cricket or rounders.
Basketball, lacrosse and netball is the only few Sports that Americans invented.
Basketball is a variant on "korfbal".
OK let`s get back to the topic can i just put vinyl stickers on my current deskmod and call it an entry? instead of my work LOGO, replace it with football sticker?
or something like this?
Apparently it's big in American Samoa and we and by we i mean the All Blacks had a go with them a few yrs back and the yank boys couldn't get over the fact we don't wear stupid amounts of padding when we played but made and received hits just as hard as them haha lol maybe because we aint a country of Nancy boys
Awe, I custom made a PC case but it has no football in it. Maybe if I can manage to stick a real soccer ball inside it and send it in?
Is a case-build also allowed? I'm planning to make one with football as the theme.
Yea, that should do.
Ok, that's nice. I'm gonna work further on my plans to build it. It will be rather complicated.
I want to enter but I don't know anything about football / soccer but I know a lot about modding jiji... so do we have to make a separete worklog or just one picture because I luv to do worklog... so please let me know... a friend send me the link today so I think I don't have enough time but I will try to make something
I have a posted worklog here: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=118674 and am a relatively new member. Having competed in a couple of contests (including the Cooler Master Modding Contest 2009 Worldwide Edition), my questions (might be similar to others too) are:
-Is there an area/section for posting and can we open a thread of our project?
-Is a worklog necessary to prove the mod is ours? Some users can Photoshop so well that it would be indistinguishable from physical work done on the project.
-Are there any categories that separate hobbyist from the "pros" that may even have laser cutters?
-Does the hardware content count?
-What is sought after: looks (just final pics) or how the final product was reached (worklog)?
-Is there a safeguard to avoid a "popularity" contest vs. a mod contest?
-Is there a minimum amount of time or posts by the members to make them eligible to vote? Country voting is possible, in other words, a bunch of guys from a given country could register for the sole purpose of voting in favor of their fellow citizen's mod-and I have seen that some countries can muster thousands of votes!
I can't think of any more points at the moment but these are concerns of any serious modder that may compete. I would suppose that the intent is to get some great and well done entries. Muchas Gracias in advance for answering these doubts.
Cheers and Saludos
P.D. I know the guy that posted above, hehe.
PaPang am glad to see you here I think this is just a modding contest nothing fancy if you can paint and do some crazy stuff you are good to go... but I also was wondering about the worklog or just post the final picture here or email it to you guys...
I know I have been off of the forum for a while but I have a new project and some updates from my last project. Hope to learn more about this soon, its sounds kind of crazy and unique!
We have a winner!
that will have a chance?

d. Build Phase - Football Fever
For the great Football Fever Contest I have decided to make a new Hardware Protection shield
with the Cooler Master, EVGA, and TechPowerUp! brand names/logo built into a South Africa
First of all I have made some drawings of some football pictures on a Plexiglas plate, later on I have used
the saw you could see in the pictures to cut the football art work out of the new Cooling - Noise reduction
- Hardware Protection shield.
A picture of the South Africa Football Globe could be downloaded here:

for the case mod.
In the next step I have cut some football players out of a 6 mm Plexiglas plate.
The pictures of the Football Players could be downloaded here:

I have uploaded my case modding project to the following forums so I could get some feedback for my case mod.
Cooler Master Forum - Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight – Portable High-end Gaming Case Mod 2010.
TechPowerUp! Forums - Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight – Portable High-end Gaming Case Mod 2010.
Still remember you from the CM Contest 2009 and your ingenious Eizo Monitor mod. I wasn't sure what I could enter/propose for this contest but you gave me an idea--to revamp a previous mod into the new theme-ingenious again, hehe.
So we have till the end of August, so lets see what I think up. Nice to see you again!
