Hyperthreading on the i3 now? Wasn't hyperthreading a core i7-only feature last generation?

I thought that was what made an i3.
i3 2 cores + 2 threads
i5 4 cores
i7 4 cores + 4 threads

My i3-2330m has 2 cores + 2 threads.

i3's have always had hyperthreading. That is basically what seperated them from the Pentium class.

Anyway, wonder if Pentiums or i3 are finally PCI-Express 3.0 ready...
If not, I'm almost sure I won't be making any builds around them... and do more Kaveris. LOL

^Yep.

But those are for the desktop CPUs and the first generation of i5's has their own share of dual core + HT models, the i5 6xx models. Their difference from the i3 is that i5 dual cores have turbo.

For mobile computers, i5's are all dual core with HT's as well, even i7's have their dual core models in the mobile space (all has HT's) and the Q ones being quads

Better yet, I'll have the i11 with 8 cores & HT.

So, let me get this straight:
-Celeron: Dual Core
-Pentium: Dual Core
-Core i3: Dual Core w/HT
-Core i5: Quad Core
-Core i7: Quad Core w/HT
During the Sandy Bridge era, there was also single-core versions for the Celeron variants.

Also

-Celeron: Dual Core no turbo
-Pentium: Dual Core no turbo
-Core i3: Dual Core w/HT, no turbo
-Core i5: Quad Core w/ turbo
-Core i7: Quad Core w/HT & turbo

I thought that was what made an i3.

i7 4 cores + 4 threads
This is for desktop list. For laptops is very different i5 being actually a dual core. Yeah, crappy Intel.
