Antec 920 offers software control. the H80 has a three speed button, and it will cost you an additional $100 for the softwar/hardware. As cadaveca pointed out, the Corsair Link / CoolIt Maestro is for these, and all I can say is wow to a $200 piece of Corsair Kit, that Antec has for half the price.

IMO. this is potentially the same as the Antec Kuhler 920 except the Antec has a circular mounting block instead of a square one.

Be interesting to see if one coolers better then the other.

The H80 is almost identical to the Antecs, but the H100 has a dual rad and in a recent review done by the techies at overclockers.co.uk it managed to keep a 2600k well under 75c for a couple of hours stress testing @ 5ghz 1.4v which is more than enough volts for me :)

Also the H100 is pretty quiet unlike the other all in one watercooling systems available.

doing a bit of testing on the H80 now. I have to say these are some of the quietest fans I have received on any Hydro cooler to date.

Comparing the Corsair Link/ CoolIt Maestro to the functionality Antec 920 is kind of a bogus comparison, IMO.

All the 920 offers is fan speed control of the fans on the radiator, and pump speed control. Both of those functions are pretty much already built into most high end motherboards with PWM fan headers. Just plug the fans into a PWM header instead of the pump/block. And no idiot would run the pump at anything less than 100%(it isn't like the pump is loud).

The Corsair Link is $100 extra because it has 5 temp sensors to monitor multiple areas of the computer, and 5 fan channels to control 5 different groups of fans. It is way more than the basic software controller offered with the 920. Antec definitely doesn't have the same thing for half the price, that is for sure.

The Link / Maestro IMHO isn't worth its weight. I had a similar system from Ikonik in the RA1000 (I think) the all water cooled version. It had all the same zoned controls, and up to 5 temp readings. It was all good, but I never ended up using the software much at all. For the purposes of the main feature of the "controllers" Antec is the one who got it right (simply). All customers want is a way to adjust the fans via desktop so they don't have to open their case to use the push buttons, just to control the fans. The H80 removes PWM and leaves the stand alone unit only with the option to change fan speeds with the button on the head unit. So to get something that is an overshoot of what is needed for $200 for the cooler and the link is not WIN for anyone.

Also if you look there is another Link for $139 if you want an LED option;)

Could you link me to that review I'm not finding it. I kinda doubt I'm gonna get one, but it'd be nice to see some feedback.

I put my rig through 9hrs of prime95 the otherday. CPU temp never went over 72'c with fan RPM around 2000 which is almost full whack as both of the fans top out at around 2300-2400RPM. throughout most of the testing it was more at 65-68'c. I didnt turn the fans up to full RPM because i didnt need to. coolant temp was around 35-36'c.

the noise from the fans were a little unbearable though. but thats to be expected.

I might look at getting some Akasa Vipers to combat the noise at some stage as i rarely run the fans above 1200RPM even when gaming. Pitty they are a sickly green colour......

I agree that the Link isn't worth it. Antec's software is nice, but IMO, nothing special. As I said, just plug the fans into a PWM header on the motherboard and enjoy the same thing. You don't have to plug the fans into the H80 and use the stupid switch(I wouldn't). And controlling the pump speed is nothing more than a useless gimmick.

I guess my point was more driven to; if I am going to spend near or over $200, I'm going custom and screw the temp sensors, I know its cool:D

<<<<Oh wait, I did:roll:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=19687625 theres the linkage :)

also worth noting was the 28c ambient temp... the day that test was done it was pretty warm in the UK, i remember my computer room being uncomfortably hot
EDIT: i just realised that this review was on a 2500K not a 2600k ... still im impressed :)

IMO. I expected better from the H100. Hes got it running on MEDIUM settings and it goes as high as 77'c????

not only that.... The results when he brings his clocks down to 4.8Ghz is not far from my own....Granted that I need to crank my fans up to around 70-80% to achieve those temps and it sounds like a leafblower but I really expected it to do much much better.

you dont have a 28c ambient temp though... (unless of source your room is full of computers with no aircon)

So you get a .3 degrees improvement in exchange for that most hideous of block tops, with a little msn messenger guy thrown on for shits and giggles. I was expecting at least 5c. This new stuff is awful. Why didn't they wait for a better design before dumping new models on the market?
