Corsair HX620W or TX750W?

Which is a better option? HX620W is is painted in red and is a bit more expensive. Does it mean that it has more power than the 750W?

i think 620w is lower then the 750w but not modular. Also might not be a clean power producing, sinc the HZ series is top of line and modular,...

So i would look close to the specs.

What is modular? I just wanna be sure I'll have enough power if i decide to upgrade my PC (two GPUs fo example)

It allows you to plug in all the extra cables you need except the 24pin and 4/8pin power for the motherboard. All molex for fans and HDD connections or 6pin for a video card can be "inserted" when you need them and removed when you dont.

Corsair 620HX is manufactured by Seasonic which is considered the best commercial Power Supply manufacturer it has Rubycon Capacitors and modular cables meaning you only use the cables you need this helps with cable management which not only looks great but good on air flow versus having a non-modular power supply like the 750TX and despite the "620" naming scheme this unit can pull 648 Watts alone on the 12 volt rail. Corsair 750TX is manufactured by Channel Well Technologies which is probably considered now the #1 Power Supply manufacturer at least in the business sense since Seasonic has quiet down it has Panasonic Capacitors, non-modular and a nifty new feature the Thermaltake Power Supplies have which is the fan on the unit turns off 10-15 seconds after it has some issues on the 5v rail. I definitely would go for the 620HX.

HX620 Hands down, iam using one my self and its great, and believe me this PSU handles the most demanding setups, check my system spex to give you a more clearer view of this PSU..

HX620 is great. I have an HX1000 in my new build (not in specs yet) and the thing is friggen awesome. Love the modular.

I wouldn't say hands down 620 you know... If you are possibly going to upgrade you PC to an i7 + like gtx 285 in SLI for example, the 750 would be better... both are great choices but the 750W would let you upgrade more BUT understand that few systems would require more than 600 Watts!

The HX620 is top of the line and quality, so is 750 but less top of the line... If you don't care about cable management and that your case is huge and well built, the 750 may be a better option for the future (again if and only if you would go i7 with dual GPUs for example)

Basically, I would go 750, because i7 + dual GPU for example, is a possibility for me... and I do not need super duper quality because freaking good is enough for me lol

I suggest that if you care about modularity, get the HX620, if not, and you won't possibly upgrade to something that would take a huge amount of power, I would suggest perhaps you look at the TX 650, since that could save you money

You should also have a look at Xigmatek PSUs as well as Seasonics and pc power & cooling... Never buy something too fast... Always look around because price also matters lol

I struggled with the same problem for a while. But the upgrading possibilities of the TX750 won in the end. I already have an i7 so if I wanted to upgrade to sli or so the HX620 wouldn't have allowed me. Also, the 620 only has 6pin PCIe connectors and no 8pins if I'm not mistaken... Just make sure.

the new ones ship with 6+2. I don't think they originally shipped with them.

Corsair made a minor change to the cables that come with this unit since the first time we looked at it (Sep 2006), upgrading the video card power cables from 6-pin connectors to 6/8-pin connectors.

This power supply comes with 11 peripheral power cables: two 6/8-pin PCI Express auxiliary power cables for video cards (6-pin on older units)

Well regardless of what case I use, they're still there and in the way, it get's annoying when sorting out my case and pulling all the wires out of the way. I hope the HX750W is a reasonable price, I wish I spent the extra on the HX620W though.

Um TX750 is more powerful. Go for the 650 if you want modular. These people saying the 650 is more powerful are BSing you.
