Should have stuck with their original idea and limited compatibility to the K65. That thing is absolutely massive already and adding an extra 6 inches of width to support full-size K70's just makes it even more absurdly large. I really can't see the use case for needing a numpad on a couch gaming rig.

I need someone to make a knockoff of the LAPDOG that allows me to install the PCB from a 60% mechanical keyboard. I'd love to have something that fits my POK3R keyboard to play games on my couch with. Razer just released their Turret which is closer to the size I want but the trackpad is too short and the keyboard is some laptop chicklet-style garbage. I want to be able to use my own mouse/keyboard and have a reasonably sized unit. The LAPDOG is way bigger than it needs to be.

Yeah, it really was larger than I expected, but I must admit, I do use it most days now as does the girlfriend. Not something we expected to be so interested in. I will of course be looking to check out the competition when they are available =)

Haha, thanks.... I think yeah, I have definitely gone from being match fit (from playing rugby) to match fit (playing video games!) I have put on around 20kg in about 3 years!!! Damn my dislocated knee! =D

Wireless would have been nice from what I have heard, it was actually in the pipeline, but they decided against it, for now anyway. It is nice to ensure that everything works all of the time though without having dropouts or interference. The wire also enables you to use the two extra USB ports.

this is a very nice and useful concept, but that price and the lack of universal compatibility, or at least a greater compatibility, make it somewhat of a niche product sadly.

Both are correct, pique means his interest is aroused, peak means it has his full attention.

It's not correct because the peak is after the pique, read the rest of the sentence to notice that it's about the lapdog first popping up. That's not even getting into 'just google it' for more info on why peak is the wrong word.

I think it would be possible to do something Arduino or R-pi based, but I doubt you would be able to do anything past that mainly because of lack of space for PSU or decent cooling.

Putting it together is too involved was hoping this was something that was more casual use friendly. Like when I'm no longer in a couch gaming mood I could simply pop the kb&m and go back to my desk without much of a hassle.
