I would like to see how this Corsair drives compares to the new Samsung 830 drive in the same capacity.

SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC256D/AM 2.5" 256GB SATA I...

I noticed this Samsung drive was not in your list and was wondering if it could be added.

I don't thing needing the 6 Gbps SATA controller to perform at peek is a draw back of the drive. It is simply the nature of the tech. You can't push 500 Mb through a 300 Mb pipe, simple as that.
