Hi.

Choose between these 2 random cpu and tell me why....don't tell me to change it, buy another one...it's hypothetical question.

Both cpu are socket 775.

Let's say a single core 3.0 gigs 2m cache fsb800

VS

dual core 2.0 gigs 1m cache fsb 800.

If we dont overclock at stock whats the best and why?

Thank you :)

That'll be close. It will depend on app. Some will benefit from the raw MHz, others, the cache. The MHz difference might even be enough that the MHz outweighs the cache advantage.

I'd not hesitate to take the dual core though. If both were dual, I'd hesitate, but there's no way I could live with a single core now that so much is multi-core aware.
