CPU cooler recommendations

Hello to all, I'm new here and this seems like a nice place so I'll stick around :)

So here is the problem...
My PC is: P4 2.66 Ghz, 512 RAM, ATI 9200 128 mb, with a 60 mm Master Cooler CPU fan.

The other day my CPU fan stopped working while I was gaming. I tried to turn it on but it turned off after 5 seconds. I'm sure its a CPU fan issues because when I turn it on the monitor shows "CPU fan failure". I opened the case and turned the PC on and the CPU fan wasnt working. Its obvious I need a new fan. The problems is that I'm a hardware newbie and don't know which fan would suit me best.

I live in the UK and I'm trying to choose between these two fans:

Sanyo-Denki 60mm Fan - 3 Pin (FG-000-SY)
Sanyo Denki produce high quality fans offering great performance with low noise. This 60mm fan has carefully angled fan blades to ensure the lowest sound levels of any high performance 60mm fan in our range without sacrificing performance.

- Speed - 4600RPM
- Output - 23CFM
- Decibels - 33dBA

and this one..

AcoustiFan DustProof Quiet 60mm Fan - 3 pin (FG-002-AF)
A new range of premium quality, ultra-quiet dust-tolerant multi-application cooling fans for PCs. These fans have been designed to be quiet and stay quiet! They also come with a 3-speed fan cable accessory providing a choice of 3 speeds & 4-pin connectivity. No harmful dust ingress means that dust stays out of the motor, bearings and fan circuitry to help keep the fan quiet, cool and prolong it''s lifetime.

- Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 25mm
- 12v: 13.7 CFM, 16.9 dB(A), 2700 RPM
- 7v: 9.4 CFM, <10.0 dB(A), 1850 RPM
- 5v: 5.9 CFM, <10.0 dB(A), 1250 RPM
- Double Ball Bearing
- Life expentancy: 60,000/ hrs

I want my pc to be as quiet as possible but I dont want to risk my CPU buring out. My pc is on non-stop during the day and I play games for about 1-2 hours per day. Its not overclocked (yet :) ).

Please help me choose which one, I'm open to other options too.

Thanks in advance for any replies

Maybe stupid but...

Why not get a whole new CPU cooler. Like getting a Zalman 7000B on it like i have. That way you have overclocking room and a very good and quiet CPU cooler.

Yeah i'm thinking your best bet would be to get a whole new heat-sink and fan combo for your cpu. All you need to do is look up your motherboard info to see what your cpu socket is: 478 for example. Then you just find a heatsink and fan that will fit and presto problem solved... you can usually find a heatsink and fan combo for around 30 or 40 bucks.

I have solved the problem by ordering a new cpu can. I fitted it and it all works well, I dont have serious plans of overcloking it yet so I'll leave buying componenets which will allow me to overclock for later. Thanks for every reply.
