CPU temps are ok?

Couple days back i posted i had 82 C while rendering, some people said i should reinstall my H80i, already did, and it worked, now my temps droppe to a max 73 while rendering. Now i want to know if these temps are ok, i'll post an image of max temps, average was 68.

Btw, i used a MX 4 thermal compound, don't know if that make the difference haha.

Oh almost forgot i lost my Corsair link cable, is that necessar?!

temps are fine. If you arent hitting TJmax under extreme loads (like IBT) then you'll never hit them in anything else like rendering. These chips throttle when they're too hot, if it aint throttling it aint too hot.

2600k was soldered, it was 3xxx that needed delids.

I ran my old 2500k on a H100 at 5.2ghz and would max around 87c under intense loads, it's not the most ideal temp but it's hardly going to burn the chip out when it is still under the Tjmax.

Well in that case I find the temps alittle high, my mate has a 2600K on a stock cooler and it never got over 70c, so

Corsair H80i and stock 6700K with 82C as max temp?
isn't that bad, but a great TIm like Arctic MX4 and a good mounting method with your AIO cooler will result on better temps, also upgrading fans on the rad might bring better numbers,

Which paste used with your cooler? application method? mounting method?

Remove the heatspreader to replace the bad Intel tim with a better one and reduce temperatures, increase overclocking.

lap brings like 5C max drop down, and there will be a pain in the ass to sell that processor, ... not worth it...
