Friggin thing was driving me nuts..
Couldn't hear a thing I was saying in testing playback.
anyway after like 2 hours of messing with things I finally tried the obvious thing..
you know..
the thing I should of tried first.. XD..
disabling the usb headset in device manager.
thats in control panel/system/hardware.
then rebooting and re-enabling the device..
my usb headset sound is good to go..
for now..
might be only temporary..
but it fixed the problem..
Thought I'd post this just because I see topics all over the place where people can't figure out why their headset is going nutz..
something to try..
EDIT: yea it worked..
for a little while..
what a garbage mobo this is.. 680i sli total failure..
