Crashing whilst playing games

I updated my bios to 1.2.0.8. I play project cars 2 and it hangs and restarts after maybe 10 minutes. I didn't take note of my bios settings so I'm now completely stock on cpu, ram and have only adjusted the fan profile on my GPU. Starting to get sick of the lack of stability that basically renders my pc a £1800 web browser. No, I don't go on dodgy websites. Sorry, my ram is @3200mhz, thinking that if I don't push it at all the pc will be more stable.

if you have your windows key handy, nothing beats a clean install of windows and fresh chipset and gpu drivers. i know its annoying, but its what I always do and it seems to work for any issues that I get.

yeah remove the battery on the mobo, turn off the psu with the switch on the back of the psu, then remove the battery on mobo. wait like 30 seconds. then put battery back in, flip switch back on - set xmp on, clean install windows - chipset driver install, reboot, latest amd gpu driver, reboot, plug in ethernet cable, get all windows updates.

Try loading "Setup Defaults" or "Optimized Defaults" in BIOS, it should be stable.

Now I cant get the fucking GPU out to even access the battery or JBAT_1. Tempted to download Windows 11 as that is a option. Regretting getting such a huge card now. If I wasn't on my meds I would have fetched the hammers by now. ALSO!!! When I turn on my pc it REFUSES to let me into the bios, despite pressing delete like I'm playing Track and Field.

You should be able to use Windows settings to restart into UEFI/BIOS.

I can get into the bios now, so what shall I do? I'm as usual at a bit of a loss. Or do I just install win 11 and see if things are more stable?

I'm just going to install windows 11. Has to be done at some point anyway.

Be sure to enable Secure Boot and TPM in the BIOS.
Disable CSM/legacy mode.

It was Kernal power unexpected power loss. No Whea's or anything like that.

Sounds suspiciously like a PSU. Have you tried limiting power to CPU or GPU?

Also watch HWiNFO for dropping voltage under load.

How would I limit power to them? CPU is only able to pull 76 watts as it's stock and my 6900XT is limited to 290 watts by default.

Which voltage would I be looking for?

12V PSU rail dipping below 11.40V.

Use Afterburner to limit power to GPU.

As above mentioned, just use HWInfo for recording a possible dip in GPU 12V rail, have it open while in-game and it'll record the "minimum" voltage value, so we can see what's going on.

Everything looks normal in those screenshots; try going into BIOS from Windows as written above and load setup/optimized defaults; if it's still not stable, it must be a bug in the new BIOS. Looks like AMD is not only rushing Zen5 but everything.
Windows 11 won't solve anything, it's newer/less tested than 10, so...
