Fing believe it! OCing/overvolting is now fixed!

We can Fing finally independently control clocks and volts (I use afterburner).

It's about time.

I was never able to successfully control the 2nd card until now.

It's not perfect for sure, I still had a couple bugs.

Don't autostart afterburner. Wait about 10 minutes after windows has booted before starting afterburner and of course don't enable graphics overdrive. I also control the cards separately in afterburner (don't sync them).
EDIT: I did not do a fresh install. I upgraded from 11.11. Also, I'm using the latest beta of afterburner.

After that it seems afterburner will control it fine and won't cause the BSOD. Good luck!

Crossfire overclocking has been fixed before 11.12 though  I am using 11.10 and it is working just fine.

I've tried it mulitple times on every driver and hotfix ver and still the same ol thing. 2nd card would show 0 mhz (and clocks never changed), sometimes the V would work and sometimes it would BSOD.

On these, as soon as I installed them it started working (I didn't even reboot). I didn't do a clean install, I just upgraded from 11.11. Yes, I'm lazy haha. The CCC doesn't change anyway.

Perhaps upgrading from 11.11 matters, idk, shit's buggy.

Ive just used Trixx for like a year. What are the driver-level changes? Maybe W1zz can pipe in.

You just need to turn off ULPS and CrossFire overclocking will work fine.

TRIXX has support for this in settings and also tells you when ULPS is enabled and you try overclocking (which would crash the card)

That hasn't been an issue for me. THe only time it was crashing was a few times from opening afterburner while playing with CCC settings like enabling and disabling crossfire. There was an addressing conflict of some sort.

Simply because you do not know what you are doing is no reason to blame it on the product.

That's a little unwarranted considering this has been a massive problem for a long time.

I figured since it never EVER worked before for me, that it would start working for others, too.

Crossfire worked perfectly with my old 4890s. I then bought a 6950 to replace them figuring crossfire would be just dandy. Nope.

So there isn't anything actually diff about the drivers insofar as oc crossfire?

Coming from someone who had no experience with overclocking or crossfire before getting 6950's and overclocking them I can say that it should literally be as simple as:

1: Enable unofficial overclocking
2: Ensure the cards are synced in Afterburner
3: Enable Voltage Control
4: Disable ULPS
5: Overclock to your hearts content.

i know exactly what i do buddy !!
and it's a fact , in cpu intel is better than amd and in gpu nvidia is better than amd , for driver too ! but the price is not the same , i inderstand why !

i try everything with afterburner and trixx , overclocking work fine only with 1 card ! (900/1050 @ 1060/1170) it's a fucking driver problem !!

i try with rbe to modify the bios , but its impossible with 6870 , so i put a xfx black edition bios , 940/1150 a wonderfull overclock ...
