Kind of sick of these "ultra-realistic" graphics. I want my games to look like games, not real-life.

And think about it, with all this work being done on the graphics engines what suffers? Generally the story line. Still haven't seen a story line as engaging as the Baldur's Gate series...

I agree for the most part, though the CryEngine is just one of those "niche" things that efforts graphics over gameplay and other factors. They are trying to accomplish something that looks real. With this 2nd engine they are using textures that look beautiful but it fails with geometry. If you look at the pics where the POV is level with the ground the angles are something out of DOOM.

Yeah I think the Cry engine is great..but I'm sick of It too, I also get sick of hearing about crysis all the time I mean yes it's a fantastic game but that's all I hear about with kids in my programming class that and WOW which I can't stand.
