If your product is worth buying, American consumers will pay the tariff; just pass it on. I agree with the general sentiment that Cryorig has no one but themselves to blame for creating an inferior product that costs more.

As for general tariffs stuff, there's a thread for talking about that here:

I don’t mean any disrespect, but I think you are being a little short sighted here. The global economy is a lot bigger than pc components.

The overall economy is doing very well, at least in the US. That is what I mean by little impact. My 401k has done well the past couple of years. A few years ago the economy was not strong enough to challenge China as entire industries would have been at risk of collapse.

I will probably piss people off by saying this, but this problem is bigger a lot bigger than GPU prices and companies that make CPU cooling solutions. We are talking about currency manipulation, patent infringement, and a slew of other corrupt trade practices.

Funny - that's exactly what the US is doing when not bringing "freedom" to other countries.

Yes, for you the impact may have been "small", but talk to other companies dealing with resources also impacted by the other tariffs, not just Chinas'... Aluminium, etc.
The only thing this doing is throwing most of the world economy close to recession again, but hey, as long as the US is doing ok (which it is not) - who cares about the world....

I just checked my local prices. It seems they are out of touch with reallity bit...

Their CRYORIG CPU COOLER R1 ULTIMATE goes for 92€, while the NOCTUA NH-D15S goes for 83€ (those prices are with VAT), and the latter one is better in my books (better mount, fan and clearance). It shouldn't be like that, thus no wonders. Don't blame only the US tariffs.
funny Cryorig was cheaper than Noctua before that ...i see the same pricing behavior and i live in Switzerland ... although 93chf for a R1 Ult versus 87chf for a NH-D15S ... i gladly go ... south, errrr scythe i mean

oh well luckily Scythe is still doing good ...

I agree with the general sentiment that Cryorig has no one but themselves to blame for creating an inferior product that costs more.
except that it didn't cost more before that ... and wasn't that much inferior to begin with ...

oh well whatever ...

Yet according to TPU review, the one fan still outperforms the dual FAN. I had the D15s, the second one is not really needed. That's not the point tho. I've checked your local prices, there are e shops that cheat VAT and go bankrupt making another firm and thus writes down the loss... casual scheme around here too. You have them very similar. The average price is already lower in Zlots than ours.

If we look at German Amazon, we can spot the same tendency as I have..

That's because you've got markup at German distributor.

Over here R1 Ultimate costs 300 PLN, ca. 70 €. Noctua D15S costs 82 € and D15 92 €. Same distributor is probably supplying Switzerland which could explain what @GreiverBlade is seeing over there.

update input, price stabilized ... and guess what?

Noctua pricing is equal to Cryorig now ... the NH-D15S is gone from 87chf to 92.90chf while the Cryorig R1 Ult stayed 93.80chf

oh well a Scythe Mugen 5 is a better option than any of these 2 ... or a Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev. B/ARO-M14 (65 respectively 49.9/49.60chf) two brand that do not try to rip you off and perform close enough to put the 30-49chf difference into the "why is it so?" category...

no, no... neither build quality or manufacturer warranty and customer service can justify that ... and certainly not the "awesome color scheme and design" of one peculiar brand

That Trade War is hurting the PC Hardware Industry very hard because of higher PC Component Prices. The ideal solution for small to medium-sized Custom PC Building and Assembly Companies like CyberPowerPC, Digital Storm, Origin PC, Velocity Micro is to migrate their production or assembly from the U.S to other Third World Countries like Philippines. It is also ideal for small to medium-sized PC Hardware Manufacturers from the likes of Cryorig, Prolimatech, Scythe, Be Quiet!, Blacknoise/Noiseblocker, GELID Solutions, Thermalright, Zalman, Arctic, SilverStone, Antec, Aerocool, Fractal Design, Phanteks, Alphacool, ID Cooling, Cougar to have factory of their products in other Third World Countries.

Besides, here in the Philippines, we desperately need Foreign Investors from the likes of aforementioned PC Hardware Manufacturers in order to buff-up our local economy, revitalize our nation and solve the widespread problem of Unemployment and Poverty as well.
