Just wondering if anybody else has been suffering this artifacting in crysis and found a fix.
Its a flicker of distant textures, usually one or two objects in the very far distance might do it, and if I look up at the clouds above me then they do a rave strobe dance for me.
Google has led me to find very little, just that its a crossfire problem (and I have yet to test it with just one card to know for sure) and the few possible solutions have all been a dead end.
I ran into this forum while looking for the RBE program to fix my fan speed, and it seems to be full of other fellow enthusiast that know a lot about this sort of thing so any feedback would be much appreciated.
Im currently 675/1000 on the cards and have tried stock clocks and below to make sure its not an overclocking issue. I also have the fans forced at 50% and have moded them with AS5 so they run nice and cool. Currently I have tried the offical 8.6 cat drivers, and use the 8.7 beta's.
I dont think I will play the game in this state as it will ruin it somewhat, and I dont think a single 4850 if I turn off crossfire will keep me happy with frame rate at 1920x1080 my native res (about 30fps min, 35 average, 50+ max with 1920x1080 all high & some vhigh)
