The game looks great...but theres soo much more to it. The game will play on a high-end system 3 years back....so a AMD Athlon64, a x850xt and 1gb of ram is all you need.

"In a very informative interview, Cevat Yerli revealed many new details on the current state of Crysis, and what's to come after the release of Crysis. According to the interview, Crysis will run on 3 year old computers by the time Crysis is released. Cevat used November 2004 as the example, which just happens to be when I bought my X850XT rig I'm currently using (new computer due in the next couple of weeks). So a system that was high-end at the end of 2004, will be able to play Crysis, no worries." That was sourced from Crysis-Online.com.

And i read somewhere else that Crysis on low should look better than Far Cry on high....but i dont know if thats true or not.

Ok, well basically, it is because of the realism. Weapons can be damaged, enemies taunted, and you got these bad ass add-ons to your body like health, strength, etc.

I can see where Metal-Head is coming from, but I am looking foward to this game. The reviews for it so far haven't been very good though, so myabe there is some truth to what he's saying.

I want to know how much the programmers are paying to generate all this hype, coz thats all it is.

I would be the best lover in the world if I paid every girl I slept with to say it...........lol

and no I'm not the best in the world, close, but not the best.

if you didnt like farcry there is little chance of you enjoying its sequal (i know acclaim have the ip rights to the name but crysis is made by the same people that made farcry so its farcry 2 in all but name) as it will just be an evolution of that.

the game will live for years because of the mods but thats not where to begin.

its going to be a bit like stalker where every action has a reaction, the ai may be bull haeded and try to rush you, others may try to hide and then inform other bad guys of your strat. all your weapons have a set damage so even if you only have a pistol you can, with enought ammo, still put a hole in a wall or cut down a tree and such. the weather will react to you play style so when your doing well as a sniper it will brightne up and give you a longer feild of veiw, switch to less conventinal tax and it will cloud over so you are hard to spot laying traps and the like.

ok some of its features other games have, destructable environments, adaptive ai, wear on the weapons and such, but its the engine that ties it all together. this engine and its editor is so easy to use that every one will be able to use it not just the 1337 few. there is a interview with the dev and he sits there and rebuilds part of the island in about 5 mins, everything in the editor is basiclly drag and drop, idiot proof editors will keep poeple playing (and buying) it longer than any other game that comes out this year.

personally this game is the only reason i will buy v!$ta so i can see if dx10 is as good as they claim it to be.

for those who want realism i dont think this is for them, try insurgency (another HL2 mod) or americas army. for those who want fast action or what ever the want to do on a big sandbox of an island i think crysis will do the job.

Well I'm glad STALKER was good..... /sarcasm

But seriously thank you for your response and actually explaining to me reasons you are looking forward to this game other than it's graphics.. (Which I admit are good but won't make me buy it...)

Just not a game for me I guess, but it's getting a little too much hype if you ask me.

LOL at the guys saying that CrySis will be lame! You obviosly havent been following the progress off this game from day 1 (like I have)

When FarCry was released it was groundbreaking (dont even try to deny it!) CrySis is the next step in the evolution of FPS games.

I bet this game will have it all. So far it looks like it has the graphics, storyline and gameplay.....what more does it need to be a winner ;)

Go and search for ALL of the trailers, more so the gameplay footage trailers and tell me that it doesnt look like fun!

I will bet my sig for a YEAR that this game is AWESOME!!!!

I liked that pre-view and the multi-player will be the best on-line fps there is I think... I hope I can run t like that after I get my water in and overclocking :) thats my plan.. my system already pwns bioshock which is an awsome single-player game.

Metal-Head is not much of an FPS'r by the seems of it.

... As I mentioned in an earlier post, I love FPS games. But I don't understand the hype of this game... I'm not at all excited for it, and the gameplay videos have not impressed me in the least.

Graphics are only part of a successful game. I think most of the hype for Crysis is that it's going to be the first DirectX 10 FPS. No doubt this game will look amazing, but the alpha reviews that I have read say that other than graphics, it's not that extreme. I'm looking forward to the game, but not like I was for F.E.A.R. or Call of Duty 2. On the other hand, this game could be one of the greatest ever made. We will just have to wait and see. This back-and-forth spamming about being unimpressed is getting us no where.

I want the demo now!!

It can't run any worse than DiRT on an X1300...

Even in crossfire, 600x400 was a struggle too hard to bear decent fps.

This is true, but I ask for why it's going to be good, and I get only a few real responses, the others being nothing but.. Metal-Head, what are you thinking?!!?!!

I'll tell you what I'm thinking, I'm thinking this game is going to be one big disappointment. I could be proven wrong though... who knows? Only time will tell.
