Hi all,

I'm trying to build and order custom computer and like to have you pro opinion and advice.
My main computer usage is graphics, namely Photoshop. I'm not really a big gamer :(

Here are bunch of questions I have:

1. what is good place to order custom build desktop (I have a bit of fobia to put a computer myself)
2. I read lots of great feadback about Matrox cards for graphics. Majority of those custom build shops don't have this cards. Please see the question 1.
3. I know I need fast CPU, lots of memory (4G) and storage (500GB-1TB), but I hardly imagine specifics like what's good motherboard, case, power supply, etc. Please feed me w/ those details.

I really, really appreciate your help guys!

Andrey

Hey guys,

common, you're in this bussiness for years. You know every single shop and what they are worth. You know every piece of computer HW. Please, give me advice.

Thank you!

Ok, so what kind of gfx card do you want? A workstation one, or a gaming one. Fast CPU, youll go dual core, 939, so what is your price range? Im thinkin opty 170... PSU, well we have to wait for the other components. Also, 2x 500 gb hds in a raid 0 should be nice..

I know, you gamers will probably laugh, but I'm thinking about Matrox P650 card. Why? It's the best dual monitor card, for it's 2D image precision (that's at least what I leaned from different review). The rest is variable.
Thanks!

Sorry...it's just that we focus more on gaming and overclocking etc...

What's you price range first?
How much are you willing to spend on the graphics card(workstation)

We want to help you, it's just that we're more into gaming.

But that matrox you showed is alright. but search for more in your price range because there is always a better one for around $25-50 more. What's your price range anyway. We need to know that first so we can tell you the best for that amount.

It takes a while sometimes, but when people get to know you, they start posting in your threads more and more. That's how I was here.

Actually, I've already got answers from other forum and some individuals from this forum (Mark thanks again!) and have ordered the pieces.

Moderator you can close the post. Thanks.
