Well it depends on the price, those systems are quite old. The Radeon HD 4870 was released in 2008, the second build doesn't even mention a graphics card. But as it stands, the first has double the hard drive space, nearly double the watts on the PSU and a Blu-Ray drive.

Second one doesn't come with graphics card.

I'd still suggest getting a newer build, but the first one is the best out of the two. You could even sell the two HD 4870s and buy a newer card.

Actually, having very similar to the first board, there is nothing wrong with the first board. It pretty much has everything the z77 has, including PCIe 3.0. In my systems, I've got a z68 and a z77, and the z68 lacks for nothing. So, pretty much either system you want, although the second one is lacking a video card.

Would you go for second one if it comes with 1 yr warranty?

Do they both come with warranty? I would always buy the newest you can. If that is the only one that comes with warranty, that's even a bigger reason to get the second. What are your plans for a video card though? Buy separately? I guess that all depends what you want to do with he system.

Don't even consider paying money for a 4870, much less two. That guy is daft for even considering selling old tech to someone who doesn't seem to have much experience, and it's damn near criminal to try and pawn off a 4 series crossfire setup on someone who isn't a techie.

I'll would go for the second one. Which card do you have in your other PC? The old card is probably compatible if the system is not older then 2006.
