hey guys

im currently running a thermaltake aqua bay m5 pump, 5.25" bay reservoir, triple rad, and thermaltake cpu block in my modded haf932 but looking at doin a bit of tweaking! so here are my thoughts

i have a chance to buy a Innovatek Tank-O-Matic reservoir, getting a Swiftech MCP655 keeping the triple rad and possibly switching cpu blocks, still in the air. ill also be getting a gtx 280 video card with a block so that will be in the loop as well. i've read some reviews on the tank-o-matic, but not completely sold, anyone have any thoughts on it? or experience? gettin it to fit could also be fun as its gettin cramped in there haha also, any other recommendations on gear? comments? tips?

here are some other glory shots of it for fun

I would just grab a res top for either the 655 or get a 355 and top combo. Cleaner and no need for the huge res really.

oh, well, for $20 if it holds water and has G1/4 threads, what can go wrong? It just holds excess water and allows for a bleeding point for air.

I have seen sports bottles used for a res. I mean really as long as it doesn't leak, I would attempt it. Good call on the pump, but the 355 offers similar performance with a smaller footprint (just something to ponder over) and I do suggest you follow your head with a new CPU block as well. As far as the tubing, 3/8 or 1/2" will do just as good either way you decide.

I have a Heatkiller 3.0 LT on my rig. Works great, looks great, many versions of it to suit taste and budget, but sort of a pain to install if you don't have a accurate measuring device to set the bolts to the right depth.

On her rig I have a Swiftech Apogee XTL. While not as pretty as the HK 3.0, it does offer good results with a much simpler mounting set up. Literally, you screw in the big thumb srews till they stop, and its on.

I'm sure there are better out there, and cheaper, but look closely at the mounting. If your mechanical skill set is at a -5 you don't ant to tinker with a tricky mounting kit;)

You might consider this... http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...oduct_info&cPath=59_498_491&products_id=23413

It works just about as well as anything out there plus with the optional mount kit it will fit any combination currently available. I know there will be cries about how other blocks beat another by a few degrees but really, if you are that close on temperature allowance then water cooling is probably not enough. (Yes, I have tested many ;))

Its thin and very restrictive. Once you get a "real" block in your hands you will realize what I mean.

EK HF.. has modular jet plates, the tiniest one (most restrictive) has best temps, but still have flow rate better than a GTZ.

I just don't want to get somethin 'cheap' haha it seems on the inexpensive end of the scale, will i notice any significant increases in performance if i spend the extra 40 on a higher one?

I agree with everything this man said in this post. I would also like to add that if you want 1/2" barbs i would go with 5/16" tube to free up some space and still give same performance as the 1/2" tube also it is alittle more flexible.

I mean 7/16" is more flexible then 1/2" :banghead: i can't multitask tonight
It maybe only 1/16" difference but it really does help.
i used the Durelene 7/16id 5/8 OD it is really good for the price, bends good and is hard to kink i highly recommend trying it. If you don't like it,it's not like you paid $3 per foot for it.
