Daughter's PC [summer project]

So im looking to get a Diablo 3 capable rig working for my daughter. I have laying around: Q9450/EP45 DS4P cpu +mobo and 4 x 1GB OCZ Reaper ram. The parts im needing are PSU, HDD, GFX, case, and a network card.

Her main uses on the PC will be school or research, but i would like the gfx capable enough for BF3 on Med settings for when my friends are over. I would like to keep prices to a minimum if posible, say no more than $100 for anything i need. Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

I would say a used 6850 (seen some for around 100$ shipped), a Corsair CX500 PSU, WD Blue 500GB 7,200RPM

gfx wise, im partially thinking dropping my 6870 in and grabbing a 7850/70 for myself. Sort of need to buy new to as the wife is particular about receipts and such.

@brandon, i was thinknig in that range for psus, no more than 650 watts but im not too partial on the CX series.

edit: im seeing a sapphire 6950 for $220 at my local store, this model http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1041&pid=1530&psn=&lid=1&leg=0

idk if the shaders are unlockable, but its still almost $50 cheaper than a 7850.

I don't know the resolution, but it souns like a Radeon 5770/6770/equivalent 7xxx might be good enough (or a GTS450/550). I assume "medium" means direct3D 10, in case of BF3?

Yup, a 5770 can play BF3 on med at 1600x900 with a stable 60 fps.

A 6870 is a happy medium. Then you can upgrade your own rig and still have a plenty quick one for your daughter. Sounds like a win-win to me.
