Those OCZ's look nice, i have also seen a good cheap Gskill DDR3 kit for cheap, but i don't remember the rest of the specs.

    Or Corsair or Crucial?

Those gskill have the tall heatsinks, there is no need for them and I couldn't get another kit for 8gb's because they would interfere with my Xigmatek. As for crucial, they don't make any 1600 kits..

ha ha got you. I have the same problem, the xigy is blocking 2 mem slots. I just bought a OCZ Gold DDR2 1066 4GB kit and I am not that impressed with OCing, but stable ram tho. My el cheapo kingston low profile DDR2 800 ram did DDR2 1000 easy. May be I got a bad one.

That's the thing, I don't want to OC them. I just want them to work at 1600 out of the box. 1333 just feels like it wouldn't be much of an upgrade over 1066 DDR2.

Jeez!!! Thats really REALLY high for ddr3.

    EDIT:
Well sorry for "off-topic"ness in your thread Shadow. Go with the first linked OCZ, the company never did me wrong :)

Kingstons... even though I have a set I did have to RMA them 4 times before getting a working set. I am looking at this set right now...

Low voltage at 1.5V for 1333 cas 7. So it's got to have headroom. More voltage could take it to 1600 cas 7 no problem or even with more tight timings.

Hi Guys, this is my first post at techpowerup! Nice to meet you all! ShadowFold, sorry if this is late to the conversation, but I recently got this Gskill kit and have been very happy with its compatibility and performance.
