hello, im using clevo pa71hs-g model laptop and it currently has "gskill ripjaws v f4 2133cl15 8grs rams"

i wanna boost them to 2400 mhz, which is the limit of my motherboard, and the good news is i dont even have to do it from the bios, i already have my control center controlling it...

but the bad news is, i dont know how to :(

so im looking for someone to help me with these numbers

now this custom setting is not my own creation, when i buy this laptop it was already like this,

so can i just increase the ratio to 18 which makes 18*133= 2400mhz and dont touch nothing else ?

im not looking for extra perfect things, i just want my hardware to run at their supporting limits...

thanks!!

Anything you change will require a restart and the setting is then applied in the bios. Essentially making extra work for you while you can just set this in bios and be done with it instead of using OS resources to accomplish the same thing.

yea of course i mean i could just do as you said, its not my question, my question is what should i do to reach 2400 mhz ? which values i should change and if so which values should i set ?

sorry if i couldnt explain properly, i wasnt able to find a guide that explains how to overclock that specific gskill rams from 2133 to 2400 thats why im asking.

Go into bios, set clocks..? Have you tried doing that?

well to be honest, since i never tried "manual" overclocking with my own bare hands in my life(softwares did for me) i didnt wanna mess up with the numbers and fry the bios chip before i learn the exact values i should set for tCL, tRCD,tRP,tRAS,tFAW,tRCF and of course the voltage, after i set my ratio multiplier to 18 you know, which values should i set ?

Just bump the multi and try it.

I don't think you would have to change the timings to achieve 2400MHz, just try increasing the ratio alone first. If that doesn't work, increase the voltage a little. Voltages under 1.35V are pretty safe and I don't even think you would need to exceed 1.25V to get it running at 2400MHz.

thank you very much!
