It seems DDR4 is going to hit midway into 2011s life span. Am I right in thinking because the memory controller is on the processor we'll need new boards and new cpus to use DDR4? If so that sucks balls. I was hoping 2011 would be as future proof as 1366 was. Considering there's no 8 core 2011 chip at launch I might just ignore the whole socket until they have DDR4 8 core chips in the $300 range.
