maybe it's your hdd that takes long to spin up.mine does.

Its normal for that board

as long as it boots,it's fine.

1. Ryzen boots a bit slower.

2. Memory training on boot for Ryzen is normal and takes a couple of seconds.

3. NVMe boot adds a couple of seconds compared to SATA.

Relax, it's normal behaviour.

are those for real ?

No it’s totally normal, mine does that too. Give or take all Ryzen systems (series1/2/3) have long pre-post times for the reasons ”tabascosauz” said.

18.5 sec boot time over here with nvme. That's from power on to login screen. The actual boot from post to login is like 5 seconds.

mine was 19! post to login is fast.maybe it's gigabyte boards,I have one too.

and I still don't know what the fast boot option does.

Fast boot really only shortens/eliminates the window of time in which you can access BIOS/bootmenu. At that point, system has already posted. There really isn't a way to reduce "BIOS" time, as Windows calls it.

Mine ranges from 15-19sec.

About the same here... 16~19sec from power on to log on. Almost half of that time is pre-post.
