Dell introduced the E2013H, an energy-efficient 20-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor. With a standby power draw of less than 0.5W, the monitor draws no more than 14W under typical usage. It features 1600 x 900 pixels resolution, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, 170° (H) 160° (V) viewing angles, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and 5 ms response time. Display inputs include DVI-I and D-Sub. Measuring 163.5 x 478.8 x 366.9 mm, it weighs about 3.4 kg. Its stand allows for basic tilt adjustments. Expect it to be priced around $100.

I quite like that design rather than the current "omgshiny!" designs popular nowadays. Also, starting price of US$100 sounds really good.

Also, finally non 1080p monitor in the news! Yay! :rockout: (nevermind it has less resolution than 1920x1080).

Just when I thought 1080 was the pits... they keep on bring out worse stuff.

WTF x900 on 20". I'm sitting here with my OLD Syncmaster 213T from 2003 with 1600x1200. HOW CAN THE INDUSTRY BE LAGGING 10 YEARS OUT OF DATE. Truly shocking... while Apple is now up at 2880x1800 on their retina macbook.

I am currently working from my department's 1440x900, I can happily report no loss of productivity compared to my library's 1600x1200. Idiots blame their tools.

I am using a 20" monitor with 1366x768 resolution for my old gaming laptop, and I cannot be more happy. Btw, the res of my laptop screen is 1920x1200, but good luck playing games on that native res. On 1366x768 however, I can play ALL existing games with no issues and with crystal quality image. Not to mention that all older movies are looking incredible good on that monitor. You need bigger resolution monitors, there are plenty out there. Or you just want them from free??

And again and again this will change. That Macbook is titanically expensive. There will come cheaper 1440 monitors, just not right now.
